PRECISION BEFORE THE FIRST CUT
A clear plan.
A better framing day.
From artwork to mat windows, mitred moulding and a printable work card. Keep every measurement on the same bench.
Example measurements and prices are synthetic. Start a real job to use your shop’s materials.

Front elevation · proportional geometry
Colour blocks are schematic; no artwork is uploaded. Inspect aperture position and visible borders before cutting.
Cut & fit schedule
Cutting reference & limits
Window measurements are finished front apertures. Back-of-board pencil lines, bevel offsets, blade start/stop positions and overcut compensation depend on your cutter and board thickness. Calibrate on scrap. For a double mat, both blanks have the same outer size; the lower opening covers artwork and the top opening is larger by twice the reveal.
Clearance is the total added to each frame dimension, not per side. This preview centres the blank in that clearance; actual fitting can move within it. Check rabbet depth against the whole stack separately. This tool does not verify depth, conservation methods, warped stock or saw accuracy.
Stock allocation
Each piece is labelled by frame, width/height and side. Kerf is an axial allowance along the stick; measure it for your saw and cutting method.
